Monty is the cutest looking cat and has a rather unusual face that makes him a special and adorable cat. It is his facial features that are quite different from the regular cats. Monty the cat is also an internet sensation. Looking different doesn’t always mean something beautiful, but an unusual face can also be fantastic. The owners of this adorable cat want to prove to the world that appearances don’t matter and little bit imperfections are fine.
Monty was rescued from a Copenhagen, Denmark animal shelter a few years ago. He was born without a nasal bridge or nose bone. Even with this abnormality, Monty the cat can breathe normally and is healthy. Due to the chromosomal abnormality, he sneezes a lot, but otherwise he is fine. Monty does have the tendency to urinate in his sleep due to the loose bladder.
He does feel embarrassed when he finds out, but it’s a problem he cannot fix and will have to live with it. The owners of Monty want him to be the ambassador for crooked cats that may not be perfect for everyone.
Monty the cat is about 7 years old now and loves sleeping on the laps of his owners a lot. He loves to be carried around. The moment they spotted Monty at the shelter home, they knew he is someone special. They fell in love with this adorable cat almost instantly and decided to get him home. His unique appearance makes him look special, but it is his personality that is like a rare diamond. He loves visiting the vet and is never afraid. Whenever he feels threatened or even unhappy about anything, he uses a small meow to alert his owners and his owners have never seen him showing his claws, let alone use them.
During his stay at the shelter, Monty the cat shared the room with some unruly cats that were very aggressive. Monty was quiet and calm throughout even when these cats were aggressive towards him. This friendly and calm nature made Monty the perfect choice for his owners who were happy that he got along very well with their other two cats, Michael the three-legged cat and Malle the gentle giant. Monty has always displayed his love and affection for the other two cats and never got aggressive with them.
Monty the cat has more than half a million fans on Facebook and the number is increasing exponentially. Monty even has an instagram account at monty_happiness. The popularity of Monty is so much so that his owners have started selling Monty merchandise at online sites. The merchandise includes a Monty sweatshirt with a huge version of Monty face on them.
Even though the face of Monty is different that makes him popular, his owners have a word of advice. The abnormality of this cat makes him adorable and cute, his owner’s advice against breeding cats with the same kind of problems to make them look different. One of the fans of Monty did question his owners on facebook about breeding such kinds of cat and his owners thought of it as a bad idea. All animals deserve love and affection and appearance doesn’t matter.
The interesting story of Monty the cat should be an inspiration for humans to accept the shortcomings and carry on living life passionately and positively. This adorable cat has all these qualities that make him a loving and caring cat even if he has some physical features that are not perfect according to the world.
